Durban ranks on the list of world’s most underrated cities

In an online article by CNN called ‘10 of the world’s most underrated cities,’ Durban features alongside the likes of Bergen, San Juan and Glasgow.

Below is a little snippet of what CNN had to say about the beautiful city:

“Perceived to be unsafe, it’s not surprising that the city, on the country’s eastern coast, isn’t the first port of call for visitors.

With year-round sunshine, a vibrant, cosmopolitan vibe and the beautiful — and beautifully named — Hare Krishna Temple of Understanding, what’s not to love?

But, largely thanks to its role as a host in the 2010 World Cup, tourist numbers are up.”

Here’s what our online community administrator had to say about the city “I love Durban, not because of the weather or the beautiful beaches but because of the different cultures and the variety of people and personalities that are scattered around durbz. We truly take for granted the raw natural beauty that Durban portrays.”
